For Diki Siswanto from Front Office and Nyoman Suadra from Food & Beverage, this resort has changed them into somebody with new skill and new habit. Diki Siswanto (Diki)

Receptionist- Joined in 2011

I have been working in this beachfront resort for 2.5 years. It is long enough to change my habits. The old me was a night person- I was someone who loved to hang out in the evening, but the working schedule has demanded me to manage my time including sleeping regularly in the evening.

I am dreaming to be a General Manager. It might sound ambitious, but I believe that everything is possible.

What is the challenge for being a receptionist?

Handling complaints makes me grow up. I have gained the skill on explaining something to others.

How do you like your job?

Amazing- meeting different people every day and learning people’s characteristics. That is interesting for me!

Who inspires you most?

I am inspired by Mr. Sanchez- our General Manager. He can be a General Manager at young age

What is your expectation in the future?

I want to be successful with my career, my financial life.

What is your motivation?

To earn my own money- to live myself

How do you see yourself 10 years from now?

I am dreaming to be a General Manager. It might sound ambitious, but I believe that everything is possible.

 

Nyoman Suadra (Suadra)

Chef de Partie- Joined in 1998

Cooking Balinese food is new skill that I have gained from working at Grand Mirage for 15 years. My favourite dish- the one that I often cook for family is chicken with Balinese spices. I hope one day, I could work on my own restaurant

What is the challenge for being a member in kitchen team?

If there is a new dish or menu, we have to learn how to make the dish

How do you like your job?

Wonderful! Cooking is my hobby. That is why I love this job.

Who inspires you most?

My Executive Sous Chef, Ibu Nanik. She is good at cooking Indonesian dishes. I have gained much knowledge from her.

What is your expectation in the future?

I am still eager to improve my cooking skills

What is your motivation

My family needs. I have a wife, and 2 children that need education, clothes, food, and others.

How do you see yourself 10 years from now?

I will be an entrepreneur and having my own Indonesian food restaurant
